In recent years, the rise of cosmetic surgeries has been on a steep incline. It seems that there’s nothing we cannot do, from invasive to non-invasive procedures, to change anything we want about ourselves.

I’m not here to argue about whether or not we should or shouldn’t subject ourselves to these dangerous procedures. We’re all capable of making those decisions by ourselves. But why are we subjecting ourselves to these procedures?

This conversation has been ongoing and it isn’t directed only towards women — plenty of men also undergo surgeries to achieve the look they desire and in this era of beauty, patients are getting younger and younger as they try to reach this level of beauty that has been set in recent years.

I’m not unfamiliar with cosmetic enhancements — having family and friends close to me who undergo surgery and enhancements to look better, I’ve witnessed in real-time how these decisions are made. They’re all aware of the dangers of these procedures, but nothing can stop them.
